Macau Leisure & Activities
For those who prefer the arts over alcohol fuelled nights, the Macau cultural centre puts on art house film, ballets and operas – providing the island with its high-brow entertainment. The Grand Auditorium also regularly puts on ballets and plays. Beyond drinking and dancing there are many culturally and visually pleasing activities to fill evenings when holidaying in Macau. Late night strolls around Senate Square ensure you can appreciate the unique architecture away from the crowds that inhibit the area by day. Heading over to Taipa for the night racing is a colourful experience and something of a rarity in Asia.
Macau Attractions 
Part of Macau’s charm rests in the old to new contrast; while the neoclassical architecture of Senado Square sits pretty as a reminder of the islands colonial past, the soaring, ultra-modern casino style resorts are a clear reminder of where Macau’s present and future lie. A flourishing clubbing scene is slowly but surely emerging within the city, putting the cheesy and tacky hostess bars that are placed on the casino strip to shame. For pub crawls head down to Lan Kwai Fong, where the bars sit in close proximity to one another, so at the point of becoming unsteady on your feet reaching the next port of call is easily done. Macau holds claim to housing the highest staking Louis Vuitton store in the world, this should put the extent of the island luxury consumption into some sort of context. It’s not all about the glitz and glamour here though, the island has an air of quality to its produce be it in leather or wine.
