Macau Tower

The tallest building in Macau at a staggering 338 metres high is an impressive structure that stands tall as a mark of Macau’s willingness to embrace the modern age.

An observation deck with panoramic views, restaurants, theatres, shopping malls and the Skywalk X, a thrilling walking tour around the outer rim; it offers the best views of Macau and in recent years has been used for a variety of adventurous activities. From the highest viewing deck it is possible to see 55km away, weather allowing.

If you have the courage to face it then have a go at jumping off the world's second-highest bungee jump – you'll reach up to 200kmph before eventually landing in a specially designed airbag. Besides the views there's lots of fun to be had such as taking in movies, lots of shopping and theatre. Macau Tower draws visitors for both its internal and external qualities, whether inside enjoying the various realms of entertainment or outside enjoying the contemporary architecture, it is definitely on the list of Macau ‘must-do’s’.

The tower is one of the members of the World Federation of Great Towers. Besides being used for observation and entertainment, the tower is also used for telecommunications and broadcasting. The he history of the bungee side of things is that In June 1987, AJ Hackett bungee-jumped from the Eiffel Tower and into the international spotlight. Today the inventor of the commercial bungee operates 10 sites around the world, including the site at the Macau Tower, and all with a flawless safety record.
